Big Bear
Conference Center The Big Bear Conference Center is located on the south shore of Big Bear Lake in the San Bernardino mountains at an elevation of 6,500 feet. Surrounded by pine trees and majestic views of the lake, the Big Bear Conference Center offers a secluded and peaceful atmosphere for your next retreat. For those who want to take advantage of the surrounding area we are five minutes away from the famous Big Bear Shopping Village and just ten minutes away from two excellent winter ski resorts. Other activities in the area include golf, horseback riding, hiking, water skiing, and mountain biking. Our two-story
lodge, Evans Hall, lends itself to many creative program
possibilities. Built in 1917 (the oldest building
on the lake) Evans Hall takes you back in time with its
log stair case and large rock fire place.
The main lodge can house as ma Our grounds are suitable for many outdoor activities; we have our own private beach on the lake and offer canoes and kayaks with which you may explore the shore line. We also have a large outdoor play field, basketball court, sand volley ball area, and children's play ground. For outdoor meetings we offer two vesper areas. For the more adventurous, special arrangements can be made to use our high ropes course and lower initiative course. Indoor spaces include a large meeting area in Evans Hall capable of holding 200 people, a smaller meeting room for 60 people and a chapel that will sit 50 people. Arrangements can be made ahead of time for P.A. equipment, overhead projector and video projector.
